New this year: Commencement Fair!

At this one-stop shopping event, graduates will receive all of the information needed for Commencement and have all questions answered. All graduates MUST attend one session of the Commencement Fair, to pick up your cap and gown, along with tickets for the Commencement Ceremony.  The fair will be held over a four-day period for your convenience. Those days are:

  • Monday, April 22, 2019, 4:00–8:00 p.m., at the Student Activity Center
  • Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 4:00–8:00 p.m., at the Student Activity Center
  • Wednesday, April 24, 2019, 4:00–8:00 p.m., at the Student Activity Center
  • Thursday, April 25, 2019, 4:00–8:00 p.m., at SPS in Parsippany.

Tickets:
Each graduate will receive up to four tickets for the Commencement Ceremony. These MUST be picked up at the Commencement Fair. A limited number of additional tickets may be available. Graduates can put their name on a first-come, first-served reservation list for up to two additional tickets. Those tickets may be picked up at the required rehearsal event on May 7th.

Required Commencement Rehearsal

Tuesday, May 7, 2019
Sitnik Theater
5:30–7:00 p.m. 

Graduates are required to attend this rehearsal. Attendance will be taken. This is also the only place to pick up extra tickets for those who have pre-registered. Refreshments & prizes sponsored by the Alumni Association will follow the rehearsal.

Baccalaureate Service

Saturday, May 11, 2019, 9:00–10:00 a.m.
David and Carol Lackland Center, Sitnik Theatre

Students are not expected to come robed. Graduate robing will begin immediately following the service. All graduates should arrive at the theater no later than 8:45 a.m. After service graduates should arrive at the robing and lineup area no later that 10:15 a.m. Graduates will be required to lineup alphabetically by degree earned. Location for robing and lineup coming soon.

Guests and family members can view the live streaming indoors at the Dining Hall (David and Carol Lackland Center).

To preserve the decorum of this important event, we ask graduates and their guests to comply with the following:

  • All guests are to remain seated, including when your graduate receives his/her degree.
  • All graduates must return to their seats after receiving their diplomas, and must stay for the entire ceremony.
