Professor Clausen joined the Centenary University faculty in 1998.  Her practical experience in the field includes having been a road manager/rider for a nationally known Grand Prix competitor, assistant trainer at Riverstone in Garrison, NY, and a professional rider for Boggs Hill in Lexington KY.

Professor Clausen teaches both Hunt Seat and Jumper classes, as well as Basic Concepts in Training, Advanced Techniques of Training, Course Design, and Equine Facilities Management.  She is also the coach of the Hunter/Jumper Team and together with Michael Dowling coaches the ANRC Championship Team. While coaching the ANRC team, they have won two national championship titles, and two reserve national championship titles.
