Hackettstown, N.J., November 20, 2017 – Centenary University is partnering with the Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) for the annual Hometown Holiday Celebration on December 1, 2017. This is the fifth year that Centenary and the Hackettstown BID will work together to promote holiday spirit to the Hackettstown community and beyond.

The festivities will kick off at Centenary University’s Edward W. Seay Administration Building at 5 p.m. Members of the community will be encouraged to join in on holiday music, crafts, and treats, carriage rides, and the Grand Illumination of the Seay building at 5:15 p.m. Prior to the illumination there will be a community carol song led by local singer, Kenny Sterns. Santa Claus and his elves will also be on hand to infuse the event with holiday cheer!

At 6 p.m., carriage rides will relocate to their Moore Street pick up and the Main Street festivities will begin with several local choir and band performances, local business shopping and dining options. The Santa Parade will begin at 7 p.m. followed with Santa Lighting the Holiday Tree at 7:15 p.m. at the Main Street Gazebo, followed by a Santa Selfie Station set up inside the fire house for those interested in getting a photo with Santa.

It is truly a wonderful time for us all to celebrate together.”
