Agreement with County College of Morris paves the way for seamless transfer to complete bachelor’s degrees at Centenary University
Hackettstown, N.J., Jan. 18, 2019—Centenary University will welcome the first students admitted to its new Path to Transfer program with County College of Morris (CCM) this spring. The agreement between the two educational institutions creates a seamless process for community college students to transfer to Centenary after completing their associate degree at CCM.
“This program is a game-changer for community college students,” explained Robert L. Miller Jr., vice president for enrollment management. “It takes the guesswork out of the transfer process, providing academic and transfer guidance—as well as financial benefits—to make it easier to transfer and complete a bachelor’s degree at Centenary.”
Under the program, students will apply concurrently to both institutions. Once accepted, they are considered Centenary students, benefiting from access to the University’s academic advisement, career resources, and block transfer of all community college courses.
The program also offers significant financial incentives to Path to Transfer students. All Path to Transfer students will receive a Path to Transfer award, in addition to a Recognition Award for graduating with their associate degree. Members of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society are also eligible for an additional scholarship from Centenary. These awards are in addition to Centenary’s robust scholarship programs, which are determined by each student’s cumulative college grade point average.
